Hamlet RSC 2026 Tour - Review
There’s something undeniably interesting about watching the Royal Shakespeare Company take on Hamlet with a concept this bold. Director Rupert Goold relocates the entire play onto the deck of the Titanic, a literal ship of state heading straight towards inevitable disaster. It’s a striking idea, no doubt about it. But as the evening unfolds, you can’t help but wonder… is this a stroke of theatrical genius, or are we starting to overthink how to stage Shakespeare?

Measure for Measure - RSC Review
★★★★★ With 37 plays in rotation, the Royal Shakespeare Company is no stranger to reinventing the Bard, and their 2025 Measure for Measure is no exception. Emily Burns’ modern reimagining swaps out the comedy for a sharp exploration of power, hypocrisy, and consent, drawing bold parallels with today’s political climate.

Fat Ham - RSC Review
★★★★★ What if Hamlet swapped Denmark’s cold castles for a North Carolina backyard barbecue, complete with paper plates, smoky ribs, and a family reunion laced with secrets? Well that's Fat Ham

The Winter's Tale - RSC Review
★ ★ ★☆☆ A cinematic marvel that dazzles the eye but slightly dulls the heart? The Royal Shakespeare Company’s 2025 revival of The Winter’s Tale is one of those rare Shakespeare productions you appreciate before you understand.

Hamlet: The Rest Is Silence - Theatre Royal, Nottingham.
Hamlet: The Rest Is Silence is a community project born from the exciting partnership between Nottingham Theatre Royal & Concert Hall and the RSC’s Shakespeare Nation initiative. If this is what TRCH can achieve with a cast of amateur performers, then in-house productions deserve a permanent place in the theatre’s future.
